Following discussions with DCMS relating to the Elite Training Pathway, British Ice Skating have now reviewed the guidance and have arranged for access hubs for the following pathway exceptions from the 7th December 2020 to allow skaters in tier 3 areas to skate under this guidance.
Current BIS members who intend to compete for Great Britain and are 18 or older who have skated in one or more of the following British Ice Skating events;
Qualifier March 2019
Qualifier July 2019
Qualifier October 2019
British Solo Ice Dance Championships 2019
Short Track Speed Skating Championships 2020
Or is on the 2020/2021 Development squad.
Can register their interest to skate whilst in tier 3 at one of the following Hub centres.

Nottingham

To meet government restrictions, we require attendees to complete additional opt in and medical declaration forms and for a full medical risk assessment to be completed. Attendees will also have to undergo temperature checks upon arrival at the venue and complete daily online medical checks.

Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to allow synchro teams as the government have clearly identified that this is only allowed for Olympic Disciplines. We are still challenging the government in relation to synchro.
We are currently awaiting guidance on the travel restrictions on Welsh and Scottish skaters and will amend the documentation accordingly.
