How to Draw A Fancy Letter A. We all need to learn the letters of the alphabet early in our lives, and A is probably the first letter we will start with.
Also, check our elsa coloring pages.
It’s the obvious choice since it’s the first letter of the alphabet. It is also among the numerous used notes in the alphabet, so understanding it is very important.
The lowercase interpretation of the letter is small and spherical, while the uppercase version is tall and square.
This difference can make learning difficult at first, and that’s especially true when you’re trying to make it more stylized. When you learn to draw a fancy letter A, it can be easy to end up frustrated!
So we created these 7 steps to show you how fun and easy it can be! Once we’re done, we’ll review some ideas for making it even cooler to Draw A Fancy Letter A.
How to Draw A Fancy Letter A
Step 1
Before we begin, you can make things easier on yourself in a few ways. First, you should carefully study the final leadership image to see what you are aiming for.
Next, take a pencil and draw a large A-line, which will have the vague shape of the final product. We’ll add the final lines to this pencil drawing later.
With that said, let’s draw the first sweep of the letter, which is near the top left corner of the letter.
Carefully draw a curved line creating a swirl that continues on its own. There should be a small gap on the far right since that’s where it will connect to the body of the letter.
We’ll take care of that in the next step, so let’s move on when you’re ready to Draw A Fancy Letter A.
Step 2
We’ll be drawing a lot in this second phase, so go slow and consult the reference image carefully as you draw. We will go through each part one by one to make it easier.
Let’s start where we ended in the previous step. You can add a curved, pointed section that connects where the swirl from Step 1 ended.
This pointed part extends downward in a wavy line that forms the right side of the A. It ends in a sharp point; another wavy line extends upwards.
Next, draw a flat horizontal line connecting the two legs of the A. Another line extends from this horizontal part to the left into another large vortex.
Finally, we’ll add another curved line from the swirling shape we drew. Add another pointed section halfway up, then finish with another curved line completing the outline.
That’s a lot to figure out, so draw slowly as you go through our example. Don’t worry if you need a few tries to Draw A Fancy Letter A!
Step 3
The pattern is complete, and now let’s add a hole in the middle of your patterned letter A. After the previous step, things get a lot easier from this point on!
As you can see in our reference image, this hole is shaped like a sphere. You can start by drawing a flat line for the base of the hole.
Thus we have two slightly curved lines extending from the base. Each one moves inward as you climb up, and they meet at a sharp point at the top.
Try drawing it at a slight angle, as we did in the reference image. Once you’ve drawn this, all the difficult parts are over! We’ll add internal details to the letter in the next few steps to Draw A Fancy Letter A.
Step 4
We will show you how we will decorate this letter from this point. You can make what we did exactly the way we did it or customize it a bit!
First, let’s focus on the model we’ve chosen. As you can see, we have drawn short lines across all letter sections.
Sounds great, but there are many ways to fill the letter with a pattern. You should draw small shapes or have the lines closer together.
The possibilities are endless, and there are many ways to make it more unique and suit your taste.
Next, we’ll add more flourishes to the letter to make it even fancier.
Step 5
In this fifth phase, we’ll add some of the flourishes you’ve already drawn. To do this, we’ll add rotating lines over some letter points.
We’ll start with the pointed section at the very top of the letter. You can draw a thick line curling back from this pointed tip.
Next, we will add another curved line extending from the lower right side of the letter. Finally, add another small curl at the swirly top on the inner left side, and you’re done with this step!
Feel free to add other curls and swirls you like to the design before proceeding.
Step 6
Before adding some colour to your design, let’s add some fun details and flourishes. This step allows you to free your creativity and add some of your ideas!
We added a series of small dots around certain edges of the letter for our design. These start small and then get bigger with each subsequent point.
We’ve also added some small leaf designs around other portions to add variety. We decided to do that, but you can go much further!
For example, add more of these points and leaves to make it even more detailed. You could add a background.
This can be a simple pattern with shapes or create an actual background setting. You could spell a word or name if you learn to draw other fancy letters. After the last step, we’ll run through a few more ideas, so in the meantime, keep thinking!
Step 7
Now you’re ready to finish your awesome letter A with some paint. This is another step to get creative and add some of your choices.
Let’s stay with the selected colour for now. We coloured our letter a rich golden yellow.
This helps make it even fancier than it already is! Of course, there are many other ways you can colour it.
It is divided into sections to create different sections with different colours. If you fill the letter with a different design, your chosen colours may depend on that.
You can also use crafting and drawing tools like metal pins, glitter, and beads to add even more whimsy to this letter!
Whatever you do, have fun and let your creativity run wild. We’d love to see how your amazing drawing turns out!
